Phenomenay
Definition
A word so ambitious that its own speaker needed two tries to land it, live, in front of thousands of people. Joins the elite lineage of covfefe and bigly as proof that when English isn't tremendous enough for the moment, a new word gets invented on the spot — pronunciation optional.
Example
“"It's a new phe-nom-en-a. It's a phen-om-en-ay."”
Etymology
A real-time mispronunciation of "phenomenon," delivered mid-sentence and never corrected.
