Live Like Vermin
Definition
A 2024 campaign pledge to "root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country" — a phrase workshopped, presumably, by someone who googled "authoritarian speech greatest hits" and copy-pasted the top result without reading past the headline. Historians immediately clocked the vibe; the campaign insisted it was just a really aggressive pest-control metaphor.
