Communism Ranked Above Pearl Harbor
Definition
A superlative so sweeping it requires ranking an economic ideology above two world wars and a surprise military attack. If a threat is big enough in the telling, the actual historical record simply has to make room for it.
Example
“"Communism is a mortal threat to American liberty... the greatest threat to our country, including World War I, World War II, Pearl Harbor or even 9/11."”
